To plant his rose collection, Emanuele Dotti rented a large hilly plot of land in Sabina, started working on it and, in 2009, built the first lines of plants.
The inauguration of the Piccolo Roseto Giovanni Chilanti, which is actually not that piccolo (the Italian word for small), took place in May 2012.
Today there are almost 1900 varieties of roses that you can see, inserted in a real botanical garden of 3 hectares that has of all classes of the genus Rosa, arranged according to the correct botanical division.
The context is wonderful: a picturesque, green, extended but protected landscape, typical of the Sabine regione, where the gaze can loose and enjoy the surrounding nature.
